The temps are settling down to what's forecast to be a nice weekend, sunny for people's barbecues but not too hot. But I may continue taking a second walk late at night. This is a very safe neighbourhood and there's very little late traffic on residential streets (next to no nightlife nearby for people to be returning from), which removes the main danger, speeding cars. It's quieter than I remember, in fact: the house where the lights were on all night as someone apparently worked nights from home doesn't do that any longer, and there are no longer people defying the law by using the park. Maybe connected to the fact they now run the park sprinklers at midnight rather than 7 am. I was quite heavily spritzed last night.
