The house that used to have a black lab now has what I think is a miniature schnauzer (maybe a Sealyham, I really don't know much about dogs). Unfortunately our dog was being unfriendly when we met on walkies.

It took me a second to realize that by "black lab" you meant a dog, not a facility for producing methamphetamine or something.

I thought of that as I was posting, actually, but that's what dog people seem to call them :-)

Oh, very much so. I nearly brought home a chocolate lab not long ago, but was stopped by the knowledge my mother would not have been happy!
