I went to the dentist for the extra check-up I pay for. The establishment I am chained to by my insurance has a line of stalls rather than a couple of rooms, and when I started going there they would all be occupied. It was running ads in all the papers with coupons for cheap first-time services. Since then it's dwindled to one dentist coming in 3 days a week and two stalls being occupied at a time - but it still was a different dentist almost every time, and they would still be almost always behind schedule. Their Yelp reviews are appalling (including lawsuits). Today there was only one receptionist, instead of 3, and a different hygienist, which was very new (the hygienists and the office staff were constants). Turns out the dentist I had today has bought the practice together with his wife, also a dentist. He seems nice, but despite his protestations to the contrary, I think it's likely they will stop taking my rock-bottom insurance.
