We took Bear to Petco (me holding him in the back seat of the car) and got him a red harness (which he is not sure he likes getting into, but it does mean I am hauling on him less) and a complicated doggy seatbelt anchor that doubles as a second harness. He was excited to be taken out to the car and jumped right in, and sat obediently for the trip out. For the trip back, he again jumped into the car, but found the seatbelt a bit peculiar. At Petco he . . . barked a lot, peed copiously once and had to be taken outside rapidly three times.
