On Saturday we went to San Jose to the library because I had a ton of books that had to be returned (curses) and then we went to the Fallon House (Victorian) and the Peralta Adobe, because they are supposed to be open only on weekends. However, the budget axe had evidently swung, and they were closed. Here's the Fallon House:

... Then my camera died. Phooey. We went to the Tech Museum, which turned out to be mostly for kids, but I would have liked to have got a shot of the housemate and my sister trying to keep their balance on the earthquake platform. And we got the robot to spell an invocation to Thor, after it rudely told us that Zazu Something-Beginning-with-Z wasn't really our name. And I designed a building that withstood the 1906 earthquake on the first try. (Of course it would have then burned down.)
