The full-size printer that is supposed to emit the summary accounting at the end of each shift has been refusing to wake from its slumber. (It's an HP, which will cause some of you to roll your eyes.) Many calls to the tech guy, and some lengthy sessions on the phone while debugging it. Finally the problem has been traced - to a loose connector cable. Now when we end the shift we have to reach around to the back of the printer and hold that wire tight. Yet another piece of craziness.
No more rain for a while now, and none forecast - I hope it returns. However, when I emerged at 2:00 this morning, there was a fine mist in the cone of light cast by each street light - in the brighter light of the newer lamps, I could see it swirling and blowing. There were tiny beads of moisture all over the bench at the bus stop. A very fine sea mist, too light for me to feel it on my face.
