D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

I missed my stop coming back from work one day last week. The walk back to where I was supposed to be took me past a small strip mall, where I notice that the Afghan restaurant has become Indian but the donut place is hanging on by offering sandwiches, the drycleaner's has decamped to Mountain View, and the jeweler's that used to fix watches has become a lice removal place.

Woke up a bit late and when I let the dog out, found out it was throwing it down. It stopped raining in time for us to walk the dog and do the weekly shopping. The supermarket was busy; the pool was deserted except for instructors in wet suits throwing volleyballs at each other.
