Monty reappeared. Late at night, when I took out recycling; in a stand-off with his mother. In fact he ran towards me and slightly behind me, although he flinched when I slowly reached a finger down towards him. So I prepared 2 separate dishes of food and put one near each cat. Mama Violet hissed, of course. They both seem to have eaten a little. And no blood and fur on the concrete.

Today was cloudy and threatening but it didn't manage to rain despite my watering. The Chron forecaster says there will be showers tonight but they'll miss the South Bay.
