Unfortunately others seem to have realized it's quieter in the evening; there were quite a few people to avoid tonight. And the dog is still extremely nervous about leaving the house; I suspect she's afraid of Mama Violet, who I glimpsed slipping into the neighbors' yard and around the corner of their house ahead of us.
