We shopped. We didn't need to get much, and the only place the dance of social distance was difficult was the frozen meals aisle, where someone was wandering up and down choosing. Then we walked the dog; as we were going into the park, a group of four young adults came up behind us and I had to try to get into the bushes to keep far enough away from them—generally people around here have been trying to follow the rules; I think this was the first big "rules be damned" I've seen. It was a sunny morning, but by the end of walkies a few drops of rain were falling and later I looked out of my window and saw a downpour. So before dinner I went out and dug up a few more dandelions from the softened ground, to the bemusement of a lady walking her dog. After coming in, I looked out of my window again and there was the same little grey dog, escaped again and sniffing our front lawn, and eventually the same chunky boy came hustling along trying to catch it.
