D.O.P.-T. (day before yesterday)

When the housemate backed the car out of the driveway to take me to the relocated express bus stop, there was an opossum in the middle of where the car had been, flopping around on its back. We watched in horror but it eventually righted itself and appeared able to stand, so we left; and she said it was gone when she returned. Hopefully the critter is ok. Now I bend down and peer under the car before getting in.
