The dog's latest toy had been a huge hot dog (I would have linked to Petco, where the housemate made the impulse purchase, but it insists on giving me a sign-in page instead, so linking to Martha Stewart's referral page); it's nice and soft, and she has looked very cute gnawing on the ginormous thing to get it to squeak. But it's rated for gentle chewers and after our trip to the San Jose library yesterday, I found bits of its stuffing strewn across my bed, so I had to take it away. She has a crocodile instead, which is cute but very tough (and crinkly-sounding). She's having difficulty getting it to squeak and has bored a hole in its back with one of her teeth.
