Something has bitten or stung me on the inside of my left arm - it looks like a wasp sting, in which case I'm glad it stung me, since I react relatively little to those compared to other people. But I didn't see anything.
Well, those pretty much start immediately post bite. If there's a pustule within 24 hrs, get your fanny to the ER. It's one of the few "Good Things" about spider venom, the effects are noticeable within 24 hrs. Poison: Pain, Illness, Death. Any or all of the above Tissue Destroying: Pustule, Weeping, Necrosis, Gangrene.
If nothing much beyond itching happens within 24 hrs and you happen to be in the West(and not in a Poisonous Insect Exhibit at a zoo;>), you'll be OK Cheers, Pat
That's bothersome. If you haven't gone to an ER yet, draw the boundary of it with indelible ink. If it grows 24 hrs after doing so, GET TO THE ER!!!!! Cheers, Pat
Hmm. This is what I get from wasp/bee stings, though. And at least it's stopped itching. I will forbear from taking and uploading a pic, since poor Elaine has enough on her plate as is, but other than seeming to want to push out a new bit of blister at the top and at the side to say "I'm still here!" it does not appear to be doing anything. And it's tiny - 2-3 mm - like a wasp sting. I'm tempted to do the old-fashioned treatment for a painful or itchy blister, a sewing needle sterilized in a flame, but since it's so small and has stopped itching ...
Then you're OK. By now it would have at least dbled and be oozing pus. Sounds like the one's I get...a couple every month. One of the MANY "joys" of living in such a bioactive region;>. Cheers, Pat
