Returning from the supermarket, I noticed the jolly sunflowers behind the former hydroponics store on El Camino have all been eradicated. So I should post something green today.
Here's the result of planting that dessicated sweet potato under the kitchen window. The thing on the left appears to be a runner bean from the compost. Here's a closeup of what I think is the sweet potato, which is proving more attractive to some sort of larvæ than the interloper.
