I think the dog's "boyfriend"'s person is off for the holidays—we've run into them several times on walkies over the holidays. Luckily an understanding guy and a well-trained dog, because ours just can't get straight that throwing herself at the dog, squealing and beating him with her paws, is not going to endear her to him.
