The much forecast rain storm finally arrived during the night: palm fronds had fallen on the sidewalk in front of the shuttered restaurant, and the bucket in the back room was almost full when I got home. But it was sunny so I took the bus to California Avenue and picked up my new glasses from Palo Alto Eye Works. Walking back to the bus and then home from it was interesting—I kept stepping off and onto kerbs at the wrong height. And now my monitor and keyboard look slightly curved. Hopefully my eyes will adapt soon.
