Yesterday as I rode the bus home, a V of geese flew honking past the bus, headed east. This morning as I walked home on a dark morning, a roiling mass of parrots flew screaming across the road behind me, headed northwest. Then there was a very loud, dull bang. At the next stop sign, a police car drew up across the street, but when I looked at them they just waved. So maybe the cop car backfired.
