I have family visiting this week, so I'm taking a vacation week. The gods have apparently decided to make things interesting: after the sudden early-morning wind storm, which apparently left meteorologists scrambling for an explanation, we had a full-blown thunderstorm with rain after I collapsed into bed yesterday, leaving my laundry on the line. It was still flickering when I crawled out of bed, so I was able to say hi to Redbeard. And I see they are now forecasting another hot day today and have switched the cooler days to starting on Wednesday. Clearly they are sticking pins in the map at random.
