Another monster house that I've been watching sidelong as it grew has been occupied. There's a family car in the driveway, sneakers beside the front door, and a hose lying on the bare earth of the tiny front yard. The last thing the work crew did was get a large root from one of the former trees out of the dirt there. It was presumably in the way.
