I continue to miss Dondon's, the family-owned ricebowl restaurant on the corner near work. It went under in the financial crash, and was eventually succeeded by something that proudly advertised itself as "non-vegetarian Indian"; evidently I wasn't the only one whose response to that was negative, especially since the area is swimming in Korean barbecues and Mexican meat-serving restaurants, so they eventually lost the tagline, but they never flourished and soon the place was abandoned again. (Eventually a vegetarian Indian restaurant opened in half of our rival's space three or four doors down; they're doing fine.) Now I see there are 21 candidate yard signs stuck around the old building.
