I ran a sprinkler in the front yard soon after getting home from work. The mostly white cat came by and allowed me to pet him or her, but when I was moving the sprinkler to the half of the grass under my window, the cat reappeared and seemed quite put out that there was falling water between it and the shrubs under the window. When I came back 10 minutes later to turn it off and put it away, there was the cat sitting under the shrubs, having evidently worked out a route.
