Well, it's Friday the 13th. I had to throw customers out of the store to close it up on time, losing one sale, and I had to do arithmetic because an item was marked with an old price so I had had to redo the transaction. As a result I was a minute late closing up ... and the bus was on time, so I missed it, on a cold night.

Oh, that sucks in large, f'ugly quantities. Sympathies.

Anything interesting on the trip home? Or was it just a slog?

I decided not to walk - it takes 2 or 3 hours. The next bus came at 3:15 or so and looked much like the regular bus on the inside. I tried to use my laptop at the bus stop but teh battery had drained; I went back inside and connected it to the wall plug to verify that, got it to load Windoze, but it was unable to connect to the net, so I came back outside and sat. Luckily I had my big hoodie to put on. Of 2 guys at the bus stop when I first came out, one was too drunk to say whether that had indeed been the bus, and subsequently changed to the other side of the street and got on there.
