I watered the front yard in the early hours, after coming home from work. Wrong day but only a few hours late. Then despite clouds all day, I watered in the back yard this evening - and it rained.

Glad you had some rain. We didn't. Supposedly, there's a whopping 43% chance of it, today, and I'm very much hoping we do get it. We need it so badly, with the drought and all....
