Woke up to evidence of some rain overnight or at least a very heavy dew. The housemate celebrated by falling over the extension cord snaking from the kitchen wall to the fan in her study doorway that compensates for the death of the window air conditioner in there, dropping a plate; amazing that no one had previously come a-cropper on that arrangement. She dismantled it as no longer needed for the season.
