Sometime Thursday night, somebody who drives worse than me smashed through the white picket fence at the house that used to have the chickens in its front yard. They left gouges on the sidewalk, destroyed the remaining tomato and pepper plants, and ripped out the lawn sprinkler system that was installed about a year ago, but fortunately stopped before the patio and the French doors to the family's living room.
