I went to San Francisco on my day off (by train to research gruesome train accidents) and made it back to the Haight Ashbury.



A lot of signs of wealth, including - not many luridly painted houses, and those there were tended to involve sober colors, not pick out the banister posts, and use gold leaf for accents. However, some people are still trying:
