D.O.P.-T. (yesterday)

The housemate found a solution to Bear's fear of the yard at night: we now take him out on leash through the side door to the driveway. I feel bad for the cats and birds that have been using the bushes out there, but his eyes are not at all good, so they should be safe if they hunker down. And eventually the rains will return and wash the pee away.

Yeah, I felt really bad about it. But he was ok with the back yard last night; I ultimately slipped him off-leash and he footled about in the dark corners a little bit. I hope it wasn't just because I was on weekend and in my nightie rather than dressed and getting ready for work, or some other irreproducible factor.
