We almost took Bear to the emergency vet on Sunday in case they had failed to find the grass seed. He sneezed blood out a few more times, and any exertion would make him huff-snorfle again. He was weak on walkies so we cut it very short. But the blood continued to diminish - although the carpets and my sheets will never be the same - and was only a few tiny drops once yesterday. And he seems happier and stronger.

What a horror, poor thing. I'd never heard of such a risk. Killer grass! Glad he's seeming stonger.

If you look at the things that make up foxtails you can see why, but it's virtually impossible to keep the dogs' noses out of em :-(
