Well, just maybe I fixed my bouncy internet - which was bouncy again this am - by finding and removing the vomit my dog had apparently deposited off the end of my bed onto the blinky box that I am told is the DSL modem.
Also this morning there are again 8 chickens. I kept seeing only 7 - the mop-topped white one seemed to be missing - and spoke to the lady 2 days ago and she said yes, contrary to her expectations, mop-top had not merely been hiding in the henhouse but was indeed missing. So either someone brought her back, after presumably finding her pecking their garden plants, or she re-emerged from whatever hideaway she had discovered.
