The dentist got a permanent crown into my mouth on Saturday, after weeks of measuring, waiting, botch-ups, and more waiting. (Of course I felt woozy and nasty even when I got up that night.) I have another appointment at Blessing of the Plough time. I expect they will then find serious defects with the other side of my mouth. Meanwhile I went ahead and got my 'flu shot yesterday at Safeway, lying about being sick (I still have the ghost of a nasty cold.) They gave me some new thing, a subcutaneous deposition rather than an injection, so I now have a large flat bump at the top of my left arm. This will probably either become a ginormous pimple, become yet another green and purple bruise to match my glasses, or as a friend suggested, hatch something repellant. I just hope it keeps me from getting the 'flu.
