I notice the inhabitants of one house with a very formal frontage have given up on their shaded, underwatered little strip of lawn and put in a row of melon or pumpkin seedlings. I hope they water em or it will be sad. At another house, the front lawn/sandlot has been swept away for a double row of assorted dahlias and other flowers.
