In response to requests, here is Bear rolling on the grass in the backyard.

He always starts by sticking his head down and rubbing his muzzle in the grass.

Here he is wiggling in ecstasy, but it probably looks as if he's fallen asleep.

... and here is the iris that grew between the paving stones, with the usual escaped nasturtium at its foot.

Another one has come up, and flowered, right behind the gate into the side yard; and a third is attempting to rise from the grass under the hose stanchion.
