Speaking of the back garden going feral - there is an amazing quantity of cuckoospit this spring. Bear gets it on his fur when he dives after a ball - or when he trots through the flower bed just for fun, a bear's natural habitat being, after all, a shrubbery. So the city's green waste program has started getting stuff I am pretty sure they don't want, all icky with foaming life.
