Leaving work on Monday morning, I just missed the bus so I walked up the route to the previous stop in hopes of catching the express, which stops there. Outside the perennially empty party/Hallowe'en store, a favorite spot for the homeless to overnight under the overhanging roof, a black lady was breaking camp while her matching black dog - I think a Dobermann - was contentedly chewing on something, lying in a leopard-print dogbed. Quite stylish.
