For sale for well north of $3 million, one of the ugliest full-lot monster houses I've seen. Many repetitive photos (with the next-door properties and their tree-filled back gardens making appearances in all the shots that show windows). Scroll down in Property details to see pics of the little rent house that used to be there, painted white inside and tarted up with new appliances for its sale—I wonder what happens to all those new appliances.

Ugh. That interior is... hideous. More white than a modern hospital.

Old school open floor plans can be really wonderful. But the modern trend — I can never understand how someone wants to build or buy a house and then make the interior into basically an apartment.

Me neither. Plus, that kind of space is harder to heat and cool.

It's a cold house in every way. French doors and a glass-sided stairway, and all the warmth and greenery is glimpsed through the windows from the surrounding yards. It presents a cold facade to the street, too, with a 2-car garage and a big bare driveway that will of course be used instead to stow the first 2 household cars. The only thing I see to like is the adventurous shapes of the bathroom mirrors.
