The last couple of days have been cooler; this morning was gloomy almost as if it was going to rain. So yesterday the squirrels were out and about again. As I walked home frm the bus, I could hear them clattering on the tree-trunks and skittering along the cables overhead. Today they lay low because of the procession of elementary- and junior-high-school kids on their bikes and scooters with their parents in tow, making their way to school.
