Yeah, the bare patches on lawns show how dry it's been. But it was apparently a record-breaking heat day in some parts of the Bay Area. (I thought the mastiff sleeping on his own front lawn illustrated that well.)
Bear is so much happier now that he can sometimes get into the back yard :-) He loves to run around out there.
