I'm having trouble deciding what two photos to post in the ljshootout community on Friday. The prompt was monochrome, and so I've been having fun taking unbearably artsy b/w and sepia photos. (The blue, green, and red settings are just overlays; other colors still show through.) I can't fall back on my usual b/w staples of Georgian and Gothic buildings and crumbling automotive, floating, and architectural wrecks . . . I'm in the wrong location without time for a road trip. So I've been manufacturing my desolation.

Heavy metal:

(That last is red-tint and not 100% monochrome, but I think I like it better than the sepia)

EDIT: Less out of focus, I hope:

Electricity:

EDIT:

Domesticity:

(There's a statue there in both those last 2; I have color versions too)

Rude cacti:

and pastimes:

(The last is in a mirror and I think I prefer it to the previous one)

I think the following groups failed, but in case anyone disagrees, one from each:

Help! Or I may just pick the two most inscrutably weird.

Hmmmm. . .obviously the first rude cacti pic for the sugestiveness, but the screen door has some interest. I also like the mushroom one which combines a slight blur of action and clarity of stillness.
