The dog has bitten the first chunk out of the replacement child gate that we got at Babies R Us. He has started helping to put it in place when he gets gated so that he will not try to restrain me from preparing for work. But he grabs the plastic mesh in his teeth with excessive zeal.

That is pretty adorable.

Sort of, yeah :-) I took the gate that he'd destroyed (after 11 years) to Petco and waved it around; as I'd suspected, they no longer have that type but they are plentiful in baby places. A clerk was suitably impressed.
