I'm sure many folks of different backgrounds would conclude i'm superstitious about some things, but i can't imagine that i would ever label myself superstitious. It seems to be a matter of framing one's understanding of the world My frame makes sense: if you don't share my frame, you might look at some of my reasoning and conclude it is based on superstition.
With respect to Friday the 13th, i treat it no differently than any other Friday.
Out of character and practice for me, during the second round of playoff hockey for the Sockeyes, I made a point of setting up the in-arena advertising signs in a certain order, game after game. I felt that *not* doing so would cause the Socks to lose the series. They won!
