Although a rain shower was just stopping as we set out, we took the dog on a longer walk today. I had to mail some letters on the way, and she enjoyed playing the game of towing the housemate at a smart clip, looking back to make sure I was still there but keeping ahead of my ability to catch up.
At dusk I went out into the glistening backyard and blóted Mona, Sunne, Bil, Hjúki, Vǫr, Dæg, Niht, Gná, and Hermóðr with the last of the red wine. A bird was calling a warning as I began; someone's dog was wuffing gently behind me, beyond fences.
