I went out as the sunset must have been beginning, and in light rain blóted Erce (Jǫrð, Eorþe), Hreþe and Nerthus in case Tacitus and/or Bede was right, Fjǫrgyn, Ægir, Rán, their nine daughters, and Nehalennia. The rain was growing stronger as I finished.
We walked the dog in the quiet, wet park, bundled up, but no rain fell on us. Most houses had lights on inside and we could see lighted trees inside. One lady popped out of her house, without a mask, to take greetings to her neighbor and unfortunately came up right behind me and the dog. The dog placidly took cover with me in the gutter.
