That semi-wild cat still hangs around the store; I've seen it a couple of times in the past week, scuttling under a car on the other side of the fence when I hear a noise outside at a quiet time and open the door to check, or leaping up to the fence when I open the back door to throw out a box. It's large, and looks like a long-haired Siamese, so presumably a Himalayan and someone's pet that's left out all night. I wish he or she were pettable.
We have internet again! A white-bearded gent rather like a large gnome ran a fiber cable through the basement.
He arrived while I was out walking the dog. It had rained a little during the night; the courts had puddles on them. On the basketball courts, the leader was teaching a new move to the Asian dance troupe ladies. Facing them on the tennis courts, a young man was dancing alone with a camera set up filming him. Much toe-pointing and movements like throwing motions. The dog and I watched him for a little while.
