The oleander is in full flower, sticking out all over the brick hearth that once in a while I consider using . . . no matter what I do, that oleander gets bigger. One of these years it will reach over the fence to the neighbors' place and grab lunch for itself.
The door alarm at work that used to sound off unendingly when someone was in the doorway of the liquor store next door (for example, using the ATM) or sitting or lying on the sidewalk, has been replaced by one that only reacts to the door being opened. But it has a sound reminiscent of the siren on a BR diesel train.
