It was cold and cloudy almost all day; shortly before 5, the sun finally broke through. I wore a hoodie all day and was glad of the warmth. Hope I didn't discourage it from raining. But the dog was feeling spry and took me on a long, meandering walk, looping through a corner of the park. A 4-year-old's birthday party was just getting started on the lawn, but the children were all busy and didn't run towards us, so she was only mildly disconcerted.
