You had a mourning dove, I had a giant (well, 4") praying mantis! Nice day for wildlife.

Wow. Did you photograph it or stay fifteen feet from it?

Neither, she was in the middle of the sidewalk so I urged her onto a book I was holding, and thence onto a nearby shrub. Had a dicey moment when she started ambling straight for my hand, but my hands were full so I couldn't just swap the book around and grab it by the other end! 0_o
