We got rain! Los Altos has officially had .04". Unlike yesterday, the morning clouds never dissipated; by noontime, when it was still chilly and positively gloomy, I thought to check the weather forecast page and found dire warnings about flooding in the offing all through the weekend—but they were only forecasting 0.1", 0.25", maybe 0.5" ... at this point we badly need rain, so if we get a flood, I'll take it. (Then again we don't live in the places in this valley that tend to flood. We just have a thirsty garden.)

Saw Mama Violet, but she was heading across the street to get away from me.
