We got a trace of rain; Los Altos doesn't seem to have got any. Now it's all "chance of" until Monday night. Despite the folks on the corner leaving their front lawn strewn with dog toys.
A tiny empty lot on another corner is apparently to be built on. It's always been a meadow in defiance of black plastic and other measures, and I've always assumed it was too small to legally have a house on it. The house next to it is the tiniest in the neighbourhood, truly a fruit picker's shack, and for many years had a mobile home parked next to it, which I assumed constituted half the living space. Maybe the relaxed rules for "granny flats" have made it possible to cover the meadow with a larger house.
