The winds swept in early this morning and have kept blowing. Larger and larger bits of the poor abused weeping trees have snapped off; luckily they are long and not wide. If they hadn't thinned them so brutally, I think they'd have lost less. Prudence unexpectedly appeared in the back porch in the evening, but hasn't eaten the food I put out for her. Otherwise no cat sightings, but food on the porch got eaten eventually. No sign yet of rain. Maybe I should have risked putting out my laundry after all.
