We went to our local independent bookshop and bought next year's calendar. Just in time before they sold out, I think.
After walkies, as I was removing the day's dog poop from the grass in back, Monty sauntered past me and stropped his claws on a wooden flower-bed surround. Then sat prominently on the path as I got something from the garage freezer. So I brought out food, and later opened the side door so Prudence could pop through the back porch room to join him. She came back and sat on the top step, looking at the kitchen door. Not sure what she wanted, but after disdaining the dish of food I then put out for her, she later polished off what Monty had left. (Her dish went to the front porch, where somebody ate it.)
